Milngavie is well served by both rail and bus services operated on behalf of SPT (Strathclyde Passenger Transport).
Rail services
Milngavie station is located in the centre of the village
and is manned by ScotRail staff seven days a week. It has a large free car park.
Four services run every hour to the centre of Glasgow (Glasgow Queen Street low level or Glasgow Central low level) during the day and two an hour via Glasgow Central low level in the evenings and on Sundays.
