Lennox Park, Milngavie

View across the Allander towards the playground

The land occupied by Lennox Public Park was originally part of Crossveggate Farm, and was given to the people of Milngavie by the landowner Mr Ripley Ker at the beginning of the twentieth century.

It used to be home of Milngavie Highland Games, the first of which were held in 1946. Nowadays it has rolling lawns on the banks of the River Allander, a children's playground and football pitches used by local schools and clubs.
