" to ascertain, co-ordinate and express to the Local Authority for our area, and to Public Authorities, the views of the community which we represent in relation to matters for which those Authorities are responsible, and to take such action in the interests of our community as appears to us to be expedient and practicable"

There are at present ten other members some of whom are 'elected' and others who are 'nominated' from various groups and organisations in Milngavie.

Meetings
Community Council Meetings are held approximately once a month in the Lesser Town Hall, Milngavie and we are always happy to see residents of Milngavie attending.
The next meetings are:
Monday 25 March 2002 at 7.30pm.
Monday 29 April 2002 at 7.30pm. - this is our AGM and we will have a speaker.
Monday 20th May 2002 at 7.30pm.
Monday 24 June 2002 at 7.30pm.

Milngavie Week
We will be running an Art Competition for children in three age categories, probably with the theme of the 'Queen's Golden Jubilee', as part of the Milngavie Week programme. Look out for our stall at Milngavie Week Gala Day on Saturday 1st June in the Precinct where we will be happy to see you.
