This page was created in 1999 when there was a perceived need for it. Since then the emergence of a multitude of other sites and search engines has made it redundant. Moreover, the webmaster moved away from Scotland in 2000 and since then has been unable to carry out much in the way of updating the site. It should therefore be viewed more as a historical view of the village at the turn of the century rather than as a source of current information.
